This Singaporean couple was an absolute delight to work with. Unlike many other parts of the world, the chinese tradition is to be photographed before the wedding. Whilst in the western world we might find this unusual but to me, as a photographer, I found it very touching as I had the opportunity to photograph them whilst they were in preparation mode for the actual wedding and potentially even more excited. This couple chose me to capture these beautiful moments and feelings as they knew that the images that they would get showed the real them and how they felt about each other.

These images were shot on black and white film and printed in the darkroom by hand on silver gelatin paper which enables them to pass these prints down to future generations. The film has been scanned purely for viewing purposes on computer screens such as below.
