Bali, The Apurva Kempinski Luxury Hotel

This wedding is very special to my heart. The lovely Roy contacted me and explained that he had been following my work for more than 10 years with a special excuse needed to commission me. After a Zoom meeting with his beautiful bride Jasmine and a lunch in Singapore the booking was made and the date was set for me to be flown from Australia to Bali to capture this incredibly touching wedding in Bali at The Apurva Kempinski Luxury Hotel over a period of two days. This wedding was celebrated with nothing but love in the air and in their hearts. All family and friends from Singapore attended and celebrated the coming together of this beautiful couple. Not only did I get to be their personal photographer, but I now consider them close friends. I do hope and feel I will continue to photograph their family as they grow.

This wedding was photographed in colour digital and transferred into black and white imagery however they also chose to give me pure photographic freedom to shoot with black and white film so that they could have beautiful silver gelatin prints processed in the darkroom as this special collection of museum quality prints for them and generations to come.

For this wedding in my portfolio we are showing you images that are taken digitally and on film in hope that whilst you cannot see the print quality, you will see the difference in contrast, mood and the beautiful grain that film produces organically. The print quality is very different to that of colour digital which is why I would like to show you the difference.
